Next step is to go buy a can of MAF cleaner and try that. Started the truck and let it run for 2 minutes, shut it off and then had the codes P0101 and P0299. Unplugged and checked again, still no codes. Returned to work and went to erase the codes and nothing showed up. Drove for approx 2 miles, no light, EUREKA!!! Then on the way back I decide I should give it a good test, so I applied maximum Duramax power up to about 60 mph and my wonerful little friend the light came back on. Last time the light came on within 1/2 a mile. Drove it to work and got my buddy to erase the codes. I also inspected the plug to see if any wires appear damaged, all looks good. Reinstalled the hose being extra careful to ensure everything is lined up perfect. I didn't have any MAF cleaner, so I very carefully wiped what I could with a q-tip. Used contact cleaner on the MAF plug in tabs and carefully applied di-electric grease. Made sure it was in all the way and seated properly.

Checked the air filter and cleaned the housing before reinstalling the filter. Checked and cleaned the hose, looks like new. Removed the air filter and hose assembly to the turbo, also removed the MAF. So this morning I decided to back track and check everything. I plan on removing it and checking to see if I got it dirty somehow, but other than that I'm stumped. I can't see how the MAF could of been damaged duriong this as it was sitting un hooked on the shop floor.

Looks like the best I can find is e-bay for $160.00-$200.00. I almost crapped when the local GM dealer quoted $557.00. Checked MAF to see if I yanked out a wire or bent a tab, everything looks fine. Reset again and 1/2 mile light is back on.

Check codes and P0101 and P0299 reappeared. P0113 intake air temp circuit signal highĪfter driving 2 blocks light is back on. I knew it would be on after changing fluid and filter, love the Allison spin on!! Took it to my buddy and he reset the following codes. Started the truck, no leaks, great!! Put everything back together and life is good except for the pesky check engine light. I had to remove the aircleaner box and tray to perform this surgery and i didn't want to put it all back in until I checked for leaks. Heck of a job, but I got new ones made at Westcan Hydraulics and he guarnatees no leakage. I had to change the trans lines on my 06 2500.
